A Lyft gift card pre-pays rides for yourself or someone else. Once redeemed, its value sits in the app as a Lyft Cash balance that pays for trips on its own. How to Buy a Lyft Gift Card

Three options, depending on how fast you need it:

• In the Lyft app: open the Payment tab and choose the gift card option to buy credit straight into an account.
• Email delivery: order through Amazon in amounts from $25 to $100 or a custom value. Add the recipient's name, email, an optional note, and a delivery date, then check out.
• In stores: find cards on gift racks at 7-Eleven, Albertsons, CVS, Giant Eagle, Kroger, Rite Aid, Safeway, Walgreens, and Walmart. Selection differs by store.

Lyft caps gifts at five cards or $500 per recipient within 24 hours. Cards are non-transferable and non-refundable, so if the card is meant for someone else, leave the code unredeemed.

How to Redeem a Lyft Gift Card

1. Open the Lyft app menu and look for the gift card entry. If it is not visible, open the Payment tab first.
2. Type in the card code and PIN.
3. The value lands in your Lyft Cash balance, which the app spends before your other payment methods.

A backup card on file covers tips, some fees, and anything above the gift balance.

US and Canada Rules

Cards work in the currency they were bought in: US dollar cards redeem on US accounts, Canadian dollar cards on Canadian accounts. Cards bought through third-party sellers follow the same currency rule.

Gift Cards Plus Promo Codes

Balance, Expiry, and Lost Cards

The Payment tab shows the remaining Lyft Cash first. Cards never expire and carry no maintenance or activation fees.

There is no replacement for a card that is lost or stolen, so treat the code like cash. If a gifted email never showed up, have the recipient look in spam and trash as well as the inbox before contacting support.
