Major Lyft Service Areas

Lyft covers all major metropolitan areas in the United States, most large Canadian cities, San Juan in Puerto Rico, and over 180 European cities via FREENOW.

Below are some of the most popular US cities where you can request a ride. Coverage includes each city and its surrounding areas, but pickup times depend on how many drivers are nearby.

For a complete list of all supported locations, please see our main Lyft Cities page. Prefer a visual overview? Every served city is shown on the interactive coverage map.

What If Lyft Is Not Available?

If our checker says Lyft does not serve your area yet, try these options:

Check a nearby city: Coverage often extends into suburbs and surrounding areas, so try the closest major city.
Try again later: Even in served cities, late nights or rural edges can have no drivers nearby. Scheduled rides can help for planned trips.
Traveling in Europe? Open the Lyft app and it will point you to FREENOW, Lyft's European network across nine countries.
